Chatbots also offer much-needed assistance to your customer relations team by handling the most basic inquiries and forwarding more complex ones to the human administrators. They mostly take care of the needs of millennials who prefer live chat. The platform is also ideal for the sale of a wide range of similar products or services; it helps match customer preferences to the right choice. Generally, organizations that have incorporated chatbot platforms in their operations have a better competitive position mainly because of the improved customer service and marketing.
There is a lot of potential for using chatbots for marketing. For example, it is possible to use Facebook advertising to send users directly to a Messenger chatbot. Users interacting with the chatbot consent to be contacted by the bot at a later point in time. This means that the cost-per-acquisition of Messenger contacts can be much lower than traditional email marketing.
4. Chatbots make friends and build relationships: Most companies wish their agents had more time to make outbound, proactive contact with their customers. Chatbots are there to help, and in some ways, they are revolutionizing the way brands stay in touch with their customers. Whether it’s a simple email or text on a customer’s birthday, or a quick check-in to ask if they are enjoying the brand’s product or service, chatbots are helping to foster brand loyalty. Devine says, “This may sound counterintuitive, but the most sophisticated chatbots can provide a more human experience than an actual human. They don’t have bad days and they don’t get frustrated by typical customers.”
Non-technical tools: these are tools that anyone can use to quickly build a chatbot. These can be used to create simple chatbots or prototypes to quickly learn whether chatbots are a good fit for your application. You will likely not be able to handle complex integrations with your website, and your bot will not behave intelligently. Nevertheless, these tools are very useful even for those that are able to code. An example of a popular tool in this category is Chatfuel

For at least the foreseeable future, chatbots won’t be replacing humans in contact center jobs. At this point, chatbots will only replace some of the tasks that people are now handling – especially lower-level requests, questions and complaints. The best chatbot systems can recognize customer frustration and switch the interaction to a human in the company’s support center. That said, chatbots are on their way to mainstream acceptance. Here are four ways AI and chatbots are creating a major impact in the customer service and CX world:
Activechat.ai provides a visual tool to make development process for complex enterprise chatbots easier. It is a visual conversation flow builder with advanced natural language understanding tools and lots of integrations to business frameworks like e-commerce shops, CRMs and external APIs. Based on the concept of "LEGO for chatbots" this visual tool makes it easy to build smart multichannel bots in a couple of days instead of weeks and months of development. Strong points: visually simple flow builder, Shopify/WooCommerce direct integration, site tracking, mass broadcasts, Twilio SMS support.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is dramatically changing business, and chatbots, fueled by AI, are becoming a viable customer service channel. The best ones deliver a customer experience (CX) in which customers cannot tell if they are communicating with a human or a computer. AI has come a long way in recognizing the content – and context – of customers’ requests and questions.
Overall: We are now able to leave our Chat on 24/7, when previously we had limited hours (due to staffing) for the Chat. It is still very much a work in progress to ensure the ChatBot has routed to the correct conversations and can sometimes be frustrating to try and figure out why the ChatBot went to a certain scenario over another. The help topics the company provides can point you in the right direction but they are written at a level above the capabilities of a brand new user to bots in my opinion. Determining whether or not no conversation with a client vs a below average conversation with a client (at times) is worth it, will determine whether we continue to renew our monthly subscription.
