Overall: Botengine greatly reduces the number of chats our helpdesk support team gets to respond to. Realistically too ,a lot of customer questions have their answers already on the company website , thereby making it easy for our chatbot to simply direct such customers to the appropriate part of the website ,where answer to their query is available. Saving our agents the need to spend precious time doing that.

Typically, customer service chatbots answer questions based on key words. The most basic systems are actually document retrieval systems. Sometimes this is frustrating. Think of the times you may have asked Siri or Alexa a question and received the wrong answer. The computer recognizes key words but may not recognize the context in which they are being used. In other words, the computer doesn’t recognize the way people naturally speak. This causes the customer great frustration. However, these systems (including Siri and Alexa) have come a long way and continue to improve.
There is a lot of potential for using chatbots for marketing. For example, it is possible to use Facebook advertising to send users directly to a Messenger chatbot. It replies to your question in the most humane way and understands your mood with the language you’re using.
